Don’t Fear Failure: Nine Powerful Lessons We Can Learn From Our Mistakes By Lisabeth Saunders Medlock, Ph.D. We have all heard the sayings “To err is human” and “you live and you learn”. We make mistakes every day, large and small, failures and faux pas. But failure and mistakes still don’t feel like an awesome learning opportunity. I know it is my shortcomings that make me unique and that I should embrace the stumbles and screw ups. But it is a challenge for me and a challenge for many of us. We live and act in ways to prevent mistakes — not taking risks, expanding our comfort zones or jumping outside the boxes we hide in. But our mistakes and failures are gifts, gems, guideposts in our learning and growth as people. So embrace failures, mistakes, screw ups and shortcomings because they not only make us uniquely who we are, but also teach us powerful lessons like the nine below. 1. Mistakes teach us to clarify what we really want and how we want to live.

Found this on The Princeton Review It's Junior year and we are basically half way done and next year it's university and college time. It's terrifying for me to think that in about two years we will be done with these class that we don't want to take we get to focus on what we want to do. I haven't yet decided my major because I don't know which on my two passions is what I would like to do. On one side I would like to help people that would like to come here and create a better future for themselves and their kids. But on the contrary side I want to help children overcome their problems because I know how tough life could be. But I have to start thinking about it. When do I declare a major? Typically in your sophomore or junior year, but the answer varies across schools and programs. Some colleges ask you to list your expected major on your college application (although "undecided" is usually an option), but don't require you to declare defi

When you say you want o change something don't say it just think of it. I know I personally have said to others I am going to try harder, but toward the end it just doesn't happen. The book that I have chosen to read is "How to Find a Soul Mate Without Losing My Soul", I was given this book this weekend as a thank you. This weekend I traveled to Los Angels and attended a youth conference, it was an amazing experience to see 10,000 other youth all wanting to learn what I wanted to learn. So far I know this book will give some explanations about chastity. I am very excited to get to learn from this amazing book.

Have you ever thought how our life would be if grades didn't determine how smart we are to some people? I have and trust me it sounds to me that we would enjoy life more. I might not be a straight A student, but it's because what I learn in my classes isn't interesting for example, I am never going to need to know how to determine molar mass. Yes, our kids might ask us one day for help, but think about it with our technology now a days, they will just put it online and check. What would you be like if grades didn't matter?
