The Pros & Cons Of State Universities

State universities, unlike their private counterparts, are funded by the public. Nearly 90 percent of their funding is from the state. Since the health of the university is contingent upon state support, such colleges are strictly run according to state regulations. Most of the coursework is fairly standardized among state universities, especially those within the same state. In my experience, public universities promote collaborative learning within the classroom less than they do independent studies. Thus, the information given in the classroom feels more like the outline of a subject rather than the subject itself. No academic coddling here. If you decide on the state school, challenge yourself whenever possible, set your own goals, and establish your own academic background.

Found this on The Princeton Review It's Junior year and we are basically half way done and next year it's university and college time. It's terrifying for me to think that in about two years we will be done with these class that we don't want to take we get to focus on what we want to do. I haven't yet decided my major because I don't know which on my two passions is what I would like to do. On one side I would like to help people that would like to come here and create a better future for themselves and their kids. The book that I have chosen to read is "How to Find a Soul Mate Without Losing My Soul", I was given this book this weekend as a thank you. This weekend I traveled to Los Angels and attended a youth conference, it was an amazing experience to see 10,000 other youth all wanting to learn what I wanted to learn. So far I know this book will give some explanations about chastity. I am very excited to get to learn from this amazing book.
